BlueyeCam:
The BlueyeCam is the simplest underwater video product you will find. It is a very high quality camera that works in mos
t underwater video situations. It has 380 TV lines of resolution (a normal VCR displays only 240 TV lines). It works extremely well down to very moderate lighting situations. $529.00
BlueyeCam Pro:
The BlueyeCam Pro is the same as our regular unit, except it uses a high-resolution camera. This camera outputs 480 TV lines of resolution. The picture difference is almost imperceptible except when digitally blowing up small portions of a picture. It is useful in video production work. $629.00
Infrared:
This is an option for use in water with extremley poor lighting. This camera unit has L.E.D.'s (light emitting diodes) which project in the infrared spectrum. This appears as white light as a camera is trying to film in low light situations. The infrared option will allow the camera to film in the dark up to ten feet away. This option is not necesary even in moderately lit water. Add $40.00
Audio option:
You can add audio to your BlueyeCam. When you use your camcorder as a recording device with the BlueyeCam you are using it in VCR mode, and your camcorder microphone is disabled. We add a small microphone to the junction box. Inside we add a amplifer board so the audio signal is output at "line level". This is a standard RCA jack that can be plugged into your recording device (VCR, Camcorder, TIVO...). Add $40.00
PAL vs NTSC:
NTSC is the television standard used in the United States, North America and many Pacific countries. It is based on 525 TV lines, 60 fields per second, and electricity based on 60 Hz. Pal is used in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and most other countries, It is based on 625 TV lines, 50 fields per second, and electricity base on 50Hz. Add $40.00
Currently we have PAL versions of the regular BlueyeCam (with options of Infrared or Audio).
If you're not sure which standard is used in your country, check it here: .arsmar.com/arstv.htm
Batteries:
The BlueyeCam uses eight triple AAA batteries. Battery Life can vary depending on battery type and type of use ( continuous or intermittant ), temperatures during storage and use.
Listed below is a range you can expect:
Average Alkaline AAA batteries:
Regular BlueyeCam .....6 - 8 hours.
Regular BlueyeCam with Infrared..... 3-4 hours.
Regular BlueyeCam Infrared and Audio..... 3 - 3.5 hours.
Note: the regular BlueyeCam will begin to show colored lines on the screen as the batteries get low.
BlueyeCam Pro..... 7 - 9 hours.
BlueyeCam Pro with Infrared..... 3 - 4 hours.
BlueyeCam Pro with Infrared and Audio..... 3 - 3.5 hours.
Many people ask about rechargable batteries. You can use them but they must be 1.5 volts. Ray-O-Vac and Lenmar make 1.5 volt rechargable batteries.
We recommend that you keep a spare set of "AAA" batteries with your BlueyeCam.
